K-Pop (ending)

pop music

Popularity and influence

Having visited many different concerts, I was amazed by Korean pop music. The staging, choreography and performance were amazing, but more importantly, I felt the soul of the music. Korean music has a bright future. Quincy Jones in an interview with a Korean magazine.

The largest consumer of Korean pop music is Japan, this genre is 7.81% of its music market, and this share is growing. In 2011, sales of Korean performers in the country exceeded $ 300 million, which is 22% higher than last year, despite the overall decline in sales in the Japanese music market.

K-pop

k-pop music
K-pop (Korean pop) is a musical genre that originated in South Korea and incorporated elements of Western electropop, hip-hop, dance music and modern rhythm and blues. Appearing initially as a musical genre, K-pop has become a large-scale musical subculture with millions of fans among young people all over the world.

According to the author of the music magazine Rolling Stone, K-pop is a “mixture of trendy Western music and high-energy Japanese pop” and “hunts down the heads of listeners with the help of repetitive" clinging ", sometimes in English." K-pop "follows the line of mixing styles, combines singing and rap and emphasizes action and powerful visual effects." Although in Korea itself, this term can be understood as almost any direction of Korean pop music, outside the country, kei-pop refers exclusively to music played by so-called idols similar in concept to Japanese idols, performed in a mixture of the above genres.

Comedy Background Instrumental "Sneak" by AlexLouder

comedy music
The music is mysterious, intriguing and mystical. It is restrained and focused. Melody slightly thoughtful and heartfelt. The rhythm is restrained and enticing. The pace is slow, calm. The harmony is weird, mysterious and a little secretive.

Surprisingly, this, in general, humorous and even comedy composition by AlexLouder somehow reminded me of the theme in the famous and cult game Myst. Remember the Myst Theme (1993), in which Robin Miller was responsible for the music?

Futurepop

futurepop
Futurepop - the name of the musical direction, which appeared in the second half of the 90s. This is a mixture of electro-industrial with synth-pop and elements of club electronic music.

Electro-industrial (also called electro (German Elektro (not to be confused with the sub-genre of dance music)) is a musical genre that arose in the 1980s mainly in Canada and the Benelux countries as a result of the mutual influence of EBM and other post-industrial genres and developed in the late 1980s and the first half of the 1990s. In addition to the directness of the musical structures inherited from EBM, and the methods of constructing compositions taken from classical industrial, electro-industrial is characterized by the presence of deep, multi-layered and false sound. The pioneers in this genre are considered to be the Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly groups. In the 1990s, the directions of the dark electro and agrotec branched off from the genre. The fan base of this genre is tightly connected with the cyber-ready subculture.

Romantic Waltz by AlexLouder

romantic waltz
Music has an amazing ability to influence the sensual life of people in the most subtlest details. But science does not know what exactly gives music this power over our psychological state. This fully applies to the Romantic Waltz of AlexLouder. This small instrumental piece evokes some associations with the Blue Danube of Johann Strauss.

Waltz know everything. It is danced at proms and weddings, at the famous Vienna Balls and in rural clubs. Waltz is one of the most romantic and favorite dances, uniting generations and plunging us into a state of some euphoria. Waltz can not be attributed to the ancient dances. Compared with the Allemande or chiming clock, the waltz is young. Its age is estimated at less than two centuries. But nobody knows the exact origin of this dance.

Electroclash

Electroclash
Electroclash is a subgenre of synthpop.Elektroclash - style of electronic music, which absorbed the elements of a new wave, punk and dance electronics. On the one hand, electroclash is a parody of early synth-pop and electronic music in general of the 1980s, on the other hand, it is a rethinking of electronic music as part of new trends and experiments.

History of style

Elektroclash exploits the musical traditions of the 1980s using synthesizers, often early analog, drum machines. The style is characterized by retro sound, musical minimalism, combined with visual images of the 1970-1980s, vintage electro, disco and punk aesthetics. There is no definite “corporate” sound (such as goa or eurodance), rather we can talk about a certain mood. The range of style is very wide - from retro in the style of "Abba" (Ladytron) to minimal techno (Legowelt). It often uses elements of eight-bit and tracker music, although this is not necessary. Prototypes of electroklash aesthetics can be seen in the cult film "Liquid Sky". Suicide is considered one of the founders of the electric clash.
