AlexLouder's Epic Track "Adventure and Exploration"

As you know, all the richness of content in music can be divided into three figurative spheres: lyrical, dramatic and epic.

Lyric of them is most extensive and comprehensive, as embodies man's inner world, character, personality, with all its thoughts, feelings, experiences. The panorama of lyrical images covers a huge range - from a simple children's song to philosophical generalizations. A characteristic feature of the lyrical content is the concentration of the subjective attitude to the objective world.


The essence of the dramatic imaginative sphere is to identify the conflict situation, based on the opposition and acute, intense struggle of contrasting, contradictory images. The dramatic beginning in music is always connected with the lyric and is most often manifested in the conflict between the inner world of the hero and the surrounding reality. The extreme state of drama in art in general and in music, including the tragic, is connected with the death of the hero.

The epic figurative sphere means narration about something or about someone. The epic in music is always combined with lyrical or dramatic, forming lyric-epic and epic-dramatic images. For epic content characterized by balance, slowness, inner peace, a special sense of life truth, strength and wisdom. A characteristic feature of the epic is the predominance of generalized-objective features over subjective-individual ones. For the most part, epic images are images taken from historical legends, folk tales, epics, and fairy tales telling about heroes and their deeds.

The composition "Adventure and Exploration" by AlexLouder has all the main listed properties and characteristics of an epic work. This is a bright and brilliant track that begins with a soft piano and develops into a large cinematic orchestra with deep percussion and heroic parts of brass instruments, which makes it possible to relate it to a lyric-epic work. Thus, in this instrumental composition there are all the features of a sufficiently developed musical work, which by its nature should have at least some manifestations of all the mentioned figurative spheres, which, in fact, makes such a work well worked out.
